Freethinker funeral services tend to be fairly simple; the picture of the departed is displayed at the altar with a floral display. Guests would pay their respects by observing a moment of silence and bowing to the deceased.
On the funeral day, the deceased would be accompanied by family to the crematorium, and a simple send-off ceremony would be conducted by the funeral director.
After cremation, the ashes are then interred into a columbarium.
